 Saturday, April 12, 2008

6-9 p.m.

Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall

728 W. Fremont Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94087

An evening of film and discussion

including a Slow Food* Supper

Admission: $ 15 per person

We will watch the made for PBS film "Ripe for Change"

by documentary film makers Jed Riffe and Emiko Omori

This will be a learning adventure with the possibility of lifestyle changes (understanding the connection between food and faith, eating locally grown food, eating organic food, valuing agriculture and farm workers, valuing local Farmers Markets, avoiding produce shipped from far away often sprayed with toxic chemicals, valuing the taste of REAL food, etc.), and world-view changes (change unhealthy eating patterns of Americans; promote, value and advocate for local food choices, and more.)
