Presbytery June, 2006

   The Presbytery meeting in Watsonville on Saturday, June 6 saw a reminder that we are all "family" from San Francisco Theological Seminary (SFTS) President Phil Butin --

then added new family members and approved the subtraction of a pastoral member.

   In addition, the Presbytery named a Search Committee to begin work on finding a permanent Executive Presbyter.

   The new members are The Rev. Jonas Mark Hayes as Associate Pastor for Children, Youth, and Families at Palo Alto First Presbyterian Church, and The Rev. Andy Yoo as Associate Pastor for Youth at Onnuri Church of San Jose.

Marissa is interning at Foothill Presbyterian Church this summer and grew up at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church.

   In addition, the Presbytery commissioned the delegates to the 2006 General Assembly and those women going to the national PW gathering

Delegates Carol Holsinger, Lea Lawrence, Pat Plant, Diana Lim,Edith Ichiuji,

to celebrate the 50th anniversary of women as ministers in our denomination.
