NEW FURNITURE BANK
Donate - Volunteer

The National Furniture Bank has just opened a branch in San Jose.
This organization's mission is to obtain furniture in good condition through donation by individuals, hotels and stores, which can be then given to poor people in need of furniture at no cost, or a nominal cost to them. People who get to "shop" at the Bank are clients of social service agencies referred by their case managers.
The Bank needs donations and can pick up useful items in good shape (sofas, chairs, coffee tables, book cases, dining room tables and chairs, beds, etc.)
The Bank ALSO needs volunteers on Saturday mornings to help distribute furniture to clients and to help pick up donated items. Helpers can also help families get their new house together (possibly adding donated towels, a holiday meal, etc.)
