Help Refugees Get Started!

We invite you to purchase a school-type backpack and fill it with any or all of these suggested items needed by newcomers:

Toiletries: hand soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, comb, brush
Bath towel and wash cloth
Pen, pencil, small notebook
Local street map
Small flashlight and batteries
A roll of quarters (for Laundromat, pay phone, bus)
Pocket dictionary
Pocket calculator
Airmail stationary and stamps or Post Office Aerograms
And most importantly, a hand-written note from you,

welcoming the refugee to America!
