Barbara Overholt

   Here is artist is Barbara Overholt of Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church and her wonderful paintings hanging in the STHPC Sanctuary.

Barbara Overholt and the "Good Samaritan"

   Originally a graphic artist and cartoonist, Barbara Kyger is known all over Silicon Valley as the imaginative genius behind barbCARDS Illustrations, providing corporate logos and art for countless community events.

   Going by her married name, Barbara Overholt, she has been an active member at Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church since 1989. An enthusiastic participant on the Worship and Music Committee, she has created banners, canopies, backdrops, and oil paintings for the church Sanctuary and campus. 

   Currently on display at Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church are five large oil paintings -- some seen below -- depicting powerful Biblical scenes. "I love to interpret these wonderful stories on canvas. Hopefully my artwork helps to bring the stories to life," Barbara explained.
